A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Project Manager with experience with Generators and UPS, to join a well-regarded business based in Andover, Hampshire.
Due to continued growth, our client requires a Project Manager to join their dynamic and expanding team. This position would be within the Projects department, reporting to the Operations Manager, but also working alongside the sales department and the technical department.
Key skills required for a Project Manager:
A practical and mechanical background will be essential, along with a willingness to learn, as there will be a cross section of projects to manage.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as an engineer or project manager in the industry, or similar role.
Previous relevant experience with Generators and UPS.
Strong practical knowledge of fuel systems, acoustics, mechanical P&ID’s and battery systems.
Practical knowledge of high level software based control systems such as Comap / Deep Sea etc.
IT skills, fluent with Outlook, Excel, and Word. MS Project and Office 365 experience would be beneficial.
Full UK Driving Licence. Although this role is mainly office-based, you will also be required to work in the field from time to time.
Key responsibilities for a Project Manager:
Take responsibility for a project from receipt of order stage, through delivery, installation and finally commissioning
Attend hand-over meeting with the sales department to take ownership of the project
Liaise with our supply chain for ordering components and coordinating sub-contractor
Organise and attend client site technical meetings
Coordinate delivery and installation logistics
Oversee commissioning and make sure the project is complete
