This opportunity has become available due to the current Production Manager moving to a new role within the business.
As a Production Manager you will have the following skills/experience;
A positive and strategic thinker with exceptional people management skills.
A proven track record of managing a production department including increasing efficiencies and production output.
Experienced in the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
Possess a high level of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail, all of which will be essential for managing the production of a market-leading premium product.
Hands-on and lead by example on the production line itself as well as fulfilling the office-based parts of the role.
You will have recruitment experience and be able to handle the recruitment process as well as handling the performance management and disciplinary process if required.
Key responsibilities for a Production Manager;
The successful production manager will be responsible for the assembly process of machinery including the quality control and goods in/ warehousing for the production department.
You will be responsible to manage a team of production engineers, warehouse operatives who are picking the components to feed the production line, and the quality control engineers.
Ensure the machines are built to the highest standard and production targets are hit each week. Manage the engineers and resources to ensure maximum efficiencies and ensure KPI’s are hit.
Responsible for the health and safety of the members in your team and will be responsible to ensure best practices are upheld in the department.
Set up and run training programs for new members joining the team
Responsible for recruiting and performance managing all staff members in your direct control.
