This opportunity has become available due to the current Production Manager moving to a new role within the business.

As a Production Manager you will have the following skills/experience;

• A positive and strategic thinker with exceptional people management skills.

• A proven track record of managing a production department including increasing efficiencies and production output.

• Experienced in the principles of Lean Manufacturing.

• Possess a high level of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail, all of which will be essential for managing the production of a market-leading premium product.

• Hands-on and lead by example on the production line itself as well as fulfilling the office-based parts of the role.

• You will have recruitment experience and be able to handle the recruitment process as well as handling the performance management and disciplinary process if required.

Key responsibilities for a Production Manager;

• The successful production manager will be responsible for the assembly process of machinery including the quality control and goods in/ warehousing for the production department.

• You will be responsible to manage a team of production engineers, warehouse operatives who are picking the components to feed the production line, and the quality control engineers.

• Ensure the machines are built to the highest standard and production targets are hit each week. Manage the engineers and resources to ensure maximum efficiencies and ensure KPI’s are hit.

• Responsible for the health and safety of the members in your team and will be responsible to ensure best practices are upheld in the department.

• Set up and run training programs for new members joining the team

• Responsible for recruiting and performance managing all staff members in your direct control.
