A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Management Accountant to join a reputable business based in Andover, Hampshire.

Key skills required for a Management Accountant: • Strong accounts experience covering all aspects of accounts from processing sales and purchase invoices through to preparing management accounts and beyond • Management and Project Management skills • Excellent MS Excel knowledge • Sage line 50 • AAT qualified/studying towards ACCA/CIMA • You will have a strong practical knowledge of the principles of bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns • You must have good knowledge of financial reporting in order for your application to be successful. Key responsibilities for a Management Accountant include: • Processing a range of financial transactions into the accounting system • Setting up payments on the banking platforms • Bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns • Preparation of periodic management accounts • Assist with yearend accounts • Updating fixed asset register • Collection of sales data • Credit Control • Multi-currency transactions • Processing and verifying of receipts from staff expenses • Being conversant with the legislation governing Value Added Tax • Ensuring the Company adheres to Company legislation/GDPR • Balancing petty cash and daily banking including maintaining the optimum position with funds in the individual Company bank accounts • Producing various pre-agreed management reports • General external calls, providing a courteous service to customers and mobile employees • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. international suppliers, accountants, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as HMRC • Employee contracts.
