An exciting opportunity has become available for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join a well-established business based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Key skills required for a 3rd Line support engineer:
Must have experience in an IT support role at 3rd Line level
Demonstrable MS 365 deployment and support experience
Desktop Support and deployment experience (Windows 10 - latest)
Windows server system setup and administration
Ideally, Server Support and deployment (2008 – latest)
Network support and deployment experience
Networking experience (routing, switching, VPN’s and firewalls)
Any experience working for a Managed Service Provider would be a huge advantage
VPN administration, setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration
Virtualisation - Hyper V and/or VMware
Full UK Driving Licence and own car is essential
Key responsibilities for a 3rd Line Support Engineer:
providing business-to-business telephone, onsite and remote support to contracted and ad-hoc technical support clients and working on technical projects as required.
when required, support clients on-site either for technical support, new project advice or offering solutions; delivering a 1st class service that customers can rely on.
focussing on the successful delivery of technical projects and providing support and maintenance services to clients.
you could be supporting clients over the phone accessing their system remotely, or providing support for one of many cloud offerings; Office 365 is the primary solution for many of their clients.
working with clients to design, propose, cost, and deliver smaller project work.
To competently manage all assigned projects and support work taking into account task and project budgets.
To record your time taken on support tasks and projects against those clients.
To manage customer relationships and interactions effectively and sensitively.
To create documentation as required for projects.
