Working Hours - Monday - Friday
Key skills/experience required for a Lead IT Engineer;
Hands on experience of troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers and modems
Experience leading and supporting junior IT engineers
Experience of implementing IT change projects
Experience in deputising for senior management and leading Helpdesk
Experience of leading IT change projects
Active Directory
Knowledge of Group policy
Knowledge of Windows Server OS
Microsoft desktop products
Understanding of LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewall and Security products
Knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS configuration and troubleshooting
Knowledge of SharePoint administration
Microsoft 365/Azure administration
Exchange configuration & troubleshooting
Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V
Full UK Driving licence & vehicle is essential
Any relevant Microsoft or virtualisation qualifications is highly desirable but is not essential
Key responsibilities for a 2nd/3rd Line support engineer;
As a senior IT engineer, you will provide 2nd / 3rd line technical support on a range of desktop systems, servers, peripherals and software using telephone support, remote support and onsite/face to face support with users. This role may also include project-based work. You will support the Head of IT (and on occasion deputise for him) and will work with and act as an escalation point for the Onsite Support Engineer. You will also, lead and manage the existing onsite support engineer to ensure continued development and standards are achieved.
